Upon lengthy anticipation the people of Port Charles will come together to mourn the loss of Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman). Previously, General Hospital Blog shared the latest details on Jackie’s special tribute. Zeman’s television daughter Laura Wright, who plays Carly Corinthos, revealed some of the raw emotion that developed behind the scenes.
Reportedly, Laura Wright makes note of the experience, explaining, “It was like we as a cast got to really say goodbye.” Since 2005 Wright and Zeman’s on-screen relationship developed and bloomed into what has mirrored a real life mother/daughter bond. Bobbie and Carly when from despising the sound one each other’s names to confiding in each other through their darkest hours. Carly, her mom Bobbie, and Carly’s daughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) make up three generations of Spencer women.

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) lived for his family, but not in the noble family man type of way. Instead, it was more like he wanted to lead a powerful band of criminals.
Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) has been brainwashed! It seems like Uncle Vic wanted the last word because his terror through Port Charles lingers. General Hospital spoilers indicate that Laura is stressing over what’s going on with Charlotte. As if she didn’t have enough trouble with her son Nikolas Cassadine, now she’s worried about her granddaughter. Victor’s influence in Charlotte’s life is evident, and Laura is afraid. She knows what they are up against because she’s had a lifetime of experience with the Cassadines. The last thing she wants is to see her granddaughter under their spell. Sadly, that’s exactly what’s happening and will worsen unless someone intervenes. But whom?
General Hospital rumors tease that Laura gets her Christmas wish! She and Charlotte want nothing more than for Lulu to wake up. Her lack of presence in Charlotte’s life is taking its toll and Laura knows that things would be better if Lulu were here. GH fans speculate that the time is finally here, and Lulu saves Charlotte just in time!

Jackie played Barbara Jean Spencer, aka Bobbie Spencer, for about three and a half decades. In that time she became a television fan favorite. Her role as Bobbie was dramatic, exciting, and adventurous with a foundation based on down to earth and grounded character.

Courtney Fulk Replaces Eden McCoy As Josslyn Jacks
Eden McCoy is a 20 year old American actress, born and raised in Los Angeles. She joined General Hospital’s popular cast in 2015 and was 12 years. She was cast in a prominent role at a young age as she took on the role of Josslyn Jacks.
General Hospital news reports confirm that the 20 year old actress has something to celebrate. Day ago Eden went from an Emmy Nominee to an Emmy Winner! The 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards took place last Friday, December 15th 2023, where Eden McCoy and the rest of the GH cast and daytime television community were honored. According to the latest GH news reports, the 20 year old took home the award in the Outstanding Younger Actor category.
Since the good news, General Hospital news and spoilers reveal a change Eden’s GH status. Previously, General Hospital Blog sadly shared the news of Eden’s mom’s passing. The now Daytime Emmy winner shares the news of her loss back on November 6th.
Recent GH news reports confirm that Eden has taken some time off in her role as Carly (Laura Wright) and Jax’s (Ingo Rademacher). According to GH spoilers, Courtney Fulk replaces Eden McCoy as Josslyn Jacks temporarily. The role has been recasted due to McCoy’s GH hiatus. GH rumors speculate that she’s most likely hiatus for bereavement after her mother’s passing.
As someone who lost their mom when I was a little older than Eden, I want her to know that we are thinking of her and their entire family at this difficult and delicate time.
Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) was hired as Avery Corinthos’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) nanny. That lasted for about 2.3 seconds before Ava told Sonny the deal and he set his trap. Betty was working for Pikeman to help take down Sonny and blackmail Ava Jerome (Maura West). But did we ever stop to think about why Betty was so willing to put herself in the position to be “eliminated” by Sonny Corinthos?
Ava Jerome isn’t winning any popularity contests in Port Charles. Although I bet she’d win when pinned up against Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). That woman has less friends than Regina George after her Burn Book was exposed. Trina is probably Ava’s most loyal supporter in life as Trina has never kidnapped or killed any of Ava’s children. She also never framed her for a murder or stalked her at any time. Despite Trina’s loyalty, I think it’s safe to say that Ava has more enemies than friends.

Laura Spencer Collin’s (Genie Francis) is a wife, mother, sister, friend, and the Mayor of Port Charles. That’s a lot to have on one person’s plate. On top of all of that, her family is full of drama.
Let’s start with the obvious drama source, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Since his Port Charles arrival and confession to Laura, he’s been nothing but trouble for the Mother Mayor. I like that. That’s what I’m calling Laura from now on. Mother Mayor. But seriously, Cyrus revealed that he was Laura’s brother and her life hasn’t been the same since.
General Hospital recaps recall that Laura’s worries about Cyrus lead her to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). She questioned him about Cyrus’s potential involvement in Austin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) murder. That’s when Sonny informed her that he doesn’t think Cyrus killed Austin. Laura hates the thought of her brother having killed Dr. Holt. So she’s a bit relieved after Sonny’s insight.
Meanwhile, Cyrus is the least of Laura’s worries. Austin’s real killer isn’t there and GH rumors hint that he’s closer to Laura than her brother Cyrus. Apparently, Nikolas Cassadine frames his ex-wife, Ava Jerome (Maura West) in Dr. Austin Holt’s murder. Recent GH rumors and spoilers hint that Laura learns Nikolas killed Austin! It’s not her brother that’s a killer, it’s her son!
General Hospital is an American Soap Opera that began in 1963. The daytime television drama was created by Frank and Doris Hursley and premiered on April 1st, 1963.
Fast forward six entire decades and GH is still going strong! Today, ABC’s General Hospital has been on the air for OVER 60 years! It is officially the longest running entertainment production in ABC history!
This year, General Hospital celebrate its 60th year on the air! That is not something to take lightly! Soap Operas became a cultural phenomenon but simmered down in the early 2000s. Popularity among the genre declined and there were other factors that contributed to the cancellation of two ABC soaps. In 2011 and 2012, All My Children and One Life to Live for the ax. Thankfully our beloved General Hospital kept the world entertained as the Quartermaine, Corinthos, Spencer, Ashford families, and the rest of Port Charles kept us at the edge of our seats.

I don’t know about you but I think that the perfect way for Sonny to contribute to General Hospital isn’t of monetary value. This contribution is something money can’t, or shouldn’t buy, especially this time of year.
