After a recent tweet by Maurice Benard, it looks as the the story will continue with Sonny and Nina giving their feelings a shot after things just become too much for Carly and Sonny.
In the tweet below, Benard jumps to GH’s defense, pointing out that despite the haters on social media, General Hospital ratings are up, proving that fans are still engaged as they watch Sonny struggle with his bipolar disorder as his life falls down around him.
Benard wants fans to know the importance of being aware that at the end of the day, General Hospital is just a TV show and that all this unwanted criticism should be channeled into something more positive. He makes a point to affirm that the storylines are always about what’s best for the show and what brings in the ratings. As for now, ratings are all Benard needs to know in order to continue on and be proud of the work he and the GH cast have been doing.
