General Hospital News: BREAKING! Executive Producer, Frank Valentini Speaks Out On Covid Protocol, Nurses Ball 2020 Will Happen!

The date to resume filming in LA was delayed multiple times for several reasons. Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases, LA County had held off on the June date to resume production. The start date was delayed again due to guidelines and safety and health regulations having to be implemented.

After a long four month wait, General Hospital news reports that GH will be all new on Monday, August 3rd.

In a recent ABC7 news report, GH Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, made statements regarding getting back to filming the show, the studio’s protocol, and what’s ahead for the residents of Port Charles.

GH fans have been anxiously awaiting the return of their favorite Daytime Drama, Genera Hospital, as the four month drought seemed like eternity. In regard to the July 20th start date for the cast and crew, Valentini told ABC7, “It took that long to establish the protocols and to think through every step of the production process,” producer Frank Valentini said. Many changes have been made at Prospect Studios, including having to have your temperature taken before even entering the building.

The Nurses Ball usually happens in May, but due to COVID-19, the month was cut short and the Nurses Ball was sadly missed. However, have no worries, GH fans have been assured by Valentini that this year’s Nurses Ball will happen. He states, “And, although it will be about four months later than usual, the annual Nurses’ Ball will return, this time in August.“
