The storyline around Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his life as a mob boss in Port Charles, NY, has been one of the main focal points of General Hospital for decades.
Today, Sonny Corinthos and his portrayer Maurice Benard have become the core of the daytime drama, some arguing more-so than even the story lines involving the Hospital itself.
General Hospital news and spoilers let GH fans in on a major spoiler revolving around Sonny’s current live triangle with his wife Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and the woman who kept him from Carly and their family, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Well there’s good news and bad news, whichever way you look at it, whether you’re Team CarSon or Team SoNa. General Hospital spoilers reveal Benard has dropped HUGE spoilers via Twitter. In a recent tweet, Maurice spilled the tea on what’s up with Sonny in PC. He revealed that Sonny is about to get dark. We will soon be seeing “Badass Sonny” but not before things begin with a “sprinkle of Mike.” Benard then goes on to promise that “he [Sonny] gets the girl in the end.”
SoNa fans are taking this as a hint Sonny will end up with Nina, while CarSon fans take Maurice’s “he gets the girl in the end,” statement refers to the love of his life, Carly.
Some GH fans believe Maurice hinted that Sonny will eventually come around despite his discouraging behavior toward his son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). In a tweet from a fan, the fan expressed their concern for Sonny’s irrational behavior, praising Michael for his reasonable logic, and calling the “Sonny” character “weak.” The GH spoiler lies in Benard’s reply when he commented, “It’s not how you start it’s how you finish.”
Was Maurice hinting that although Sonny isn’t acting in alignment with his true self, eventually he will come around? General Hospital rumors lean toward the assumption that Sonny will eventually find his way, although Benard also admits that after amnesia, Sonny will never be exactly the same man as he was prior to the incident on the bridge with Julian Jerome (William deVry).
